Ceramic dental implants
Dental implants have become a safe as well as durable solution in dentistry thanks to medical research and medical experience.
Difference between titanium implant and ceramic implant
Ceramic implants
Ceramic implants
Why should you choose ceramic implants?
When titanium implants are inserted, titanium oxide can escape and accumulate in the bone around the implanted area. The result is damage to the defence cells. We find titanium oxide in many areas of everyday life, e.g. in food, clothing. As with gluten, it happens that there is a threshold of intolerance to titanium oxide.
Ceramic implants for more health and aesthetics
Ceramic implants as artificial tooth roots are made of ceramic and zirconium oxide, are completely metal-free and therefore tissue-friendly. Such an implant – unlike titanium implants – only heals in completely healthy bone.
Our biological dentistry first eliminates the inflammation in the bone to create the best conditions for the placement of the ceramic implants. This is why ceramic is now the material of choice in implantology. Its white colour is also a great aesthetic plus.

What are implants?
Implants are “artificial tooth roots” made of titanium or ceramic that are inserted into the jawbone to replace lost teeth. Implants are also used to attach crowns, bridges or dentures.
Advantages of implants
- Implants as a fixed restoration offer comfort and aesthetics. They feel like your own teeth.
- When restoring single-tooth gaps, healthy teeth do not have to be ground down because implants serve as anchors for the tooth replacement.
- Bone loss due to missing teeth is preventable with implants.
- By freeing the palate in the upper jaw, implants in a denture can offer the person concerned a comfortable feeling and a higher quality of life.
- With press studs (locators) or bars, implants stabilise removable dentures and improve chewing quality.

3D Diagnostics & 3D Implantology
In dentistry, 3D diagnostics means a three-dimensional X-ray image on the computer, which is used in advance of every implantation in our practice.
This digital volume tomography (DVT) allows us to see the bone down to the smallest detail. This modern procedure makes it possible, for example, to detect infections or cysts that would not be visible on a conventional panoramic X-ray.
Basically, our Smile Lounge team uses DVT to determine the available bone volume and locate bone loss. We measure the height, length, width of the bones and analyse their relationship to anatomical areas. This includes the lower alveolar nerve or the sinus cavity of the upper jaw to prepare for an optimal surgery.

Immediate implantation
Gentle & without loss of time
You want to benefit from the latest achievements in modern dentistry? Whenever possible, our Smile Lounge team offers you immediate placement of the ceramic implant after tooth removal. If the stability is good, the tooth can be inserted into the jawbone after a few hours of removal. You save additional surgical procedures and thus time and costs with this method.
Osseodensification leads to more implant stability
An osteotomy (bone cut) during implantation has always been performed with drills. Osseodensification is a new gentle drilling technique in which no bone material is removed. The bone mass is preserved, and at the same time it is compacted and pushed outwards – until the optimal result is achieved. Osseodensification facilitates the expansion of the alveolar ridge and thus increases implant stability.
Bone Healing Protocoll for pre- and post-operative preparation
The BHP (Bone Healing Protocol) is a surgical support for bone regeneration and must be followed exactly 14 days before the surgery date and 14 days after the surgery. It involves vitamin and nutrient supplementation. During this phase, the diet should also be hypoallergenic and as nutrient-rich as possible.
Local ozone disinfection and neural therapy make it possible to make the effects of the operation as pleasant as possible. This also supports the healing ability.
